WWC 2018-19 Program Overview

Following models utilized in other cities throughout the region, the Mercy Coalition has a proposal before the City of West Sacramento that would utilize existing church facilities as overnight Winter Warming Centers for the homeless in a one-year pilot program for 2018-19.  The joint city/county/coalition pilot would make the 20-bed warming centers available five nights a week at participating churches, with intake occurring at designated off-site locations and no walk-up clients permitted.

The proposal is expected to go before city council on Nov. 7.
