Our most critical needs…

Emergency Hygiene Kits: We collect donations of travel sized toiletries for both Project Homekey residents and our unhoused neighbors who stop by the resource “closet” at the city of West Sacramento’s Project Homekey. These items are essential for the health of not only individuals but our overall community. Maybe you’ve been saving all of those toothbrushes you get from the dentist. Perhaps you’ve taken a trip recently and have an abundance of travel sized toiletries to spare. No item is too small or too few! Additionally, if you’d like to help but don’t have anything to bring down, donating is easy with our hygiene kit specific Amazon Wish List!

Emergency Weather Response: In response to this year’s historic heat wave (July 2024), the Mercy Coalition has jumped started an emergency weather response program to help keep our unhoused friends healthy and safe as we navigate new weather trends. We’ve been collecting donations of water, Gatorade, bagged snacks, and dog treats, and distributing them at known congregation points throughout West Sacramento. We expect to continue responding to extreme weather trends in all seasons, and could really use your help in meeting this need. Not sure what to bring by? Check out our Emergency Weather Response Amazon Wish List for suggestions or to send donations directly to our door!

Clothing needs: While we collect all kinds of clothing donations to be distributed via Emergency Clothing Bags at the resource “closet” at Project Homekey, there are a handful of items that consistently present the greatest need - both men’s and women’s socks and underwear. Unfortunately, we do not accept clean but used undergarments. However, you can assist by donating new packs of these items either on site or via our Clothing Needs Amazon Wish List!

Additionally, stay tuned for details on this years’ Socktober Fest! This sock drive takes places from October 5 - 19th, and culminates in a family faire here at the Mosaic Village. Interested in hosting a drive or becoming a sponsor? Email office@wsmercycoalition.org for more info!

***Please note that we do not accept furniture at this time. If you have other specific items to donate or questions about our process, please feel free to email office@wsmercycoalition.org, or call 916-509-3566.

Thank you all for your ongoing support! We’re not us without you!
