MC signs on with Recovery Cafe Network

With an eye towards bringing a Recovery Cafe model to West Sacramento, the Mercy Coalition this week had its application plan approved by the nationwide Recovery Cafe Network. The finalizing of that step will put the Coalition on a trajectory to have a Recovery Cafe up and running West Sacramento as soon as 2023.

Originating in Seattle, the RCN has grown to include 34 permanent and emerging cafe sites around the U.S. and Canada. Mercy Coalition’s entrance into the network brings training, resources, and an ongoing cohort-style learning community as the Recovery Cafe project in West Sacramento is developed.

“We’re delighted to be part of the Recovery Cafe Network,” said MC executive director Don Bosley. “We’re eager to jump in and learn from those who have been there, and see how those ideas and principles translate to our context in West Sacramento.”
