A Very Big Day of Giving Thank You!

Big Day of Giving was such an incredible gift and encouragement to all of us in the Mercy Coalition. Together you helped us raise an incredible $15,643 during the Sacramento area’s biggest nonprofit fundraising day of the year.

On top of the $10,643 raised by 69 individual donors in BDOG 22, our friends at the Lyon Cares Foundation - for the second straight year - awarded a $5,000 check to the Mercy Coalition as part of their BDOG philanthropy. All of this funding supports our work with those impacted by homelessness, poverty, addiction and mental-health struggles. It includes programs like:

  • RECOVERY CAFE WEST SAC, a new project being launched supporting individuals who have suffered trauma, homelessness, addiction and other mental-health challenges. It centers around a community space that is drug- and alcohol-free, embracing, and healing, and which employs a peer-driven model of accountability, belonging and growth.

  • THRIVE LIVES, our life-support community for individuals exiting homelessness.

  • The JAM ACADEMY, providing Jobs And Mentoring for individuals recovering from homelessness and/or addiction.

  • Emergency Food Bags, clothing and hygiene kits for those experiencing homelessness.

Thanks to all of our friends and supporters on the Big Day of Giving! You inspire and encourage us so much!
