When we look into the eyes of West Sacramento’s most vulnerable, what we see is a longing for embrace and acknowledgment. The pain of past traumas is real in those eyes, and very present. The sorrow of great loss is numbing. The seeming hopelessness of battling addiction cycles, homelessness cycles, and mental-health plummets is overwhelming - and exhausting.

For the thousands of volunteers, staff, and donors who have formed the Mercy Coalition over the years, these are our friends. And the holiday season represents a ready opportunity to wrap our friends in love and worth.

How many friends will you help us embrace?

Wrap A Friend In Sustenance

$100 will provide 100 emergency food bags, which include daily fresh-made sandwiches, to our unsheltered friends.

Wrap A Friend In Personal Care:

$150 will supply 50 personal care kits for our friends, with toothpaste, deodorant, soap, shampoo, and other hygiene products.

Wrap A Friend In Restorative Community:

$250 will sponsor one of our friends for a month’s worth of free hot meals, recovery classes, support groups, and healing activities at the Recovery Cafe.

Wrap A Friend In Hope: 

$500 will support one of our friends for a year in our JAM Academy, our workforce development program
